League Policies

• Spares curling in night leagues must pay spare fees unless they are members of the Chilliwack Curling Club (shareholders) and are actively curling in another league. Failure to uphold this policy will result in forfeiture of the game. 
• Spares must play in the position of, or lower than, the absent curler. Note: This section does not apply to the Competitive League.
• Teams must have a minimum of two registered* members of their team, and may have a maximum of two spares, or the game is defaulted. Note: This section does not apply to the Competitive League.

  * A registered player is a member in good standing whose name appears on the team's roster in the club's database/web site.

• Teams may name one curler as a fifth member of the team. 
• Fifths must be members of the Chilliwack Curling Club (shareholders). 
• Fifths may play in any position.
• Fifths must pay spare fees if playing for a different team.

• Please be aware that there may be other teams waiting to play on the ice, or your opposition may have other commitments after a game. 
• While unusual circumstances may cause a delay in play, members should expect to start and finish games on schedule. To facilitate this, the bell will ring one hour and forty minutes after the scheduled start of an eight-end game. Please finish the end in play when the bell rings, plus one more end.

• Please notify your opposing skip if your team cannot play a game. 
• The defaulting team records a loss, while the non-defaulting team records a win. 
• At the discretion of the non-defaulting team, the teams may replay the game at a mutually agreeable time, split the points, or come to some other arrangement.
